equitreatPrivacy policy
equitreat is a browser extension that pays cashback, in tokenized stock, for confirmed purchases at supported stores. It is operated by Equitreat("we"), who you can reach at equitreatco@gmail.com.
What the extension reads
The extension runs only on the supported stores listed on the stores page, and has no access to any other site. On those stores it recognises order-confirmation pages. On each page it looks only for signals that a purchase was completed: confirmation-page URLs, headings such as "Thank you for your order", an order number, the order total, and standard e-commerce analytics events (purchase events in dataLayer, Meta Pixel Purchase, schema.org Order, Shopify.checkout).
What leaves your browser
Only when a purchase is detected, and only if you are signed in, the extension sends to our database (Supabase):
- merchant domain (e.g.
amazon.com) - order number (or a hash when none is visible)
- order total and currency
- the page address without its query string, with order numbers, tokens and anything containing an email replaced by placeholders
- detection confidence and which kinds of signal matched
- timestamp
It never sends page text, product names, shipping or billing addresses, email bodies, payment card data, or browsing history. Nothing is sent for pages that are not purchase confirmations. Our server repeats the same clean-up on everything it receives.
How orders are checked
Orders are reported by your own browser, so a reward can be claimed only once the order has been checked and approved, which happens within a week of the order. Orders above our per-order and per-month limits are recorded but not counted, and we may decline orders that look wrong. The popup and the rewards page show which rewards are still in review.
Exchange rates
Orders in currencies other than US dollars are converted to US dollars so rewards can be totalled. Rates come from public exchange-rate services (Frankfurter, with ExchangeRate-API as a fallback). Our server fetches the rate table only; no order, account or wallet data is sent to those services.
Payouts
Rewards are cashback counted in US dollars and paid on Solana to the wallet address you choose, as a tokenized stock bought on Meteora at the moment you claim. Tokenized stock can go down in value. To set your holder level, we read the payout wallet's balance of the project token from the public chain when you open the rewards page and when you claim.
Every payout is a public blockchain transaction, and our public payout log lists each claim's wallet, amount, holder level and transaction. The log shortens addresses for readability only: anyone can open the transaction and see the full wallet and its whole history. Because cashback follows spend, a payout also shows roughly how much was spent. Names, emails and sign-in methods are never published. If you would rather keep your purchases apart from your other activity, receive rewards in a wallet you use only for this.
Account data
Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth. We store your user id, sign-in method, email (if used), the wallet address you choose to receive rewards, and your preferred payout token. Wallets are linked and rewards claimed only on the rewards page, by signing a message; the extension never touches a wallet and we never see private keys.
Use of data
Data is used solely to calculate and send rewards. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for creditworthiness or any purpose unrelated to the reward feature, in line with the Chrome Web Store Limited Use requirements.
Control
You can pause tracking from the popup, sign out at any time, and request deletion of your account and orders by emailing equitreatco@gmail.com.
