equitreatTerms of service
These terms cover equitreat, a browser extension that pays cashback, in tokenized stock, for confirmed purchases at supported stores. It is operated by Equitreat ("we"). By installing the extension or claiming a reward you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use the service.
Who can use it
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and to hold the tokenized stock you are paid in. One account per person. You are responsible for anything done through your account, and for whether using the service and receiving tokenized stock is lawful where you are. Nothing here is an offer where such an offer would not be permitted.
What the service does
The extension runs only on the 207 stores listed on the stores page and recognises order-confirmation pages there. A confirmed order is recorded to your account and earns cashback, counted in US dollars. What the extension reads and sends is set out in the privacy policy.
How cashback is worked out
Each order earns between 0.75% and 1.5%, set by two things: your spend tier, from what you spent in the last 90 days, and the size of the order, which is split into bands like tax brackets. Holding the project token in your payout wallet multiplies that rate, up to a limit per order. The current rates, tiers and caps are shown on the home page and on the rewards page, and they are the ones that apply.
Orders are reported by your own browser. We check them, and we may decline or reverse cashback for an order that was returned, cancelled, refunded, never completed, duplicated, or that breaks these terms. Orders above our per-order and per-month limits are recorded but not counted.
When you can claim
Cashback unlocks 7 days after an order, once the order has been checked. Claims start at US$1.00; below that your balance keeps adding up and nothing expires. A balance is a record of cashback earned, not money we hold for you, and it is not a deposit, an account balance, or a claim on any other asset.
How you are paid
When you claim, the amount is used to buy one of 10 tokenized stocks on Uniswap, at the price at that moment, and the tokens are sent to the wallet you linked, on Robinhood Chain. You choose the stock before you confirm. The rewards page shows an estimate first; the amount you receive depends on the pool price when the transaction settles and may differ from the estimate. We stop a claim if the price moves beyond the limit shown.
Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. You are responsible for the wallet address you link; tokens sent to a wallet you do not control, or one that cannot hold them, are lost and we cannot recover them. Every payout appears in the public payout log.
Risk
A tokenized stock tracks the price of a share and can go down as well as up. It is not the underlying share: holding one gives you no shareholder rights, no dividend entitlement unless the issuer provides one, and no claim against the company. Its value depends on the issuer and on a market that may be thin or unavailable when you want to sell.
Nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy or hold any stock. We do not guarantee any value, any price, or that any stock stays available. Claim only when you are content to hold what you receive. Any tax on cashback or on the tokens is yours to handle.
Fair use
Do not fabricate orders, automate or script purchases to farm rewards, use multiple accounts, tamper with the extension or its messages, or otherwise try to earn cashback that does not come from your own genuine purchase. We may withhold, reverse or cancel rewards obtained this way, and close the account.
Changes, suspension and availability
We may change the rates, tiers, caps, supported stores and the stocks on offer, and we may change these terms. Changes apply to orders recorded after the change; cashback already earned is not reduced by a rate change. The service is provided as it is, may be unavailable at times, and may be withdrawn. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will pay out any cashback properly earned before we do, where we lawfully can.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the value or performance of any tokenized stock, for losses caused by a wallet address you gave us, by a blockchain, exchange pool or third-party service, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
